·         Antialias Looks for jagged edges and tries to make them looker smoother.
·         Despeckle is used to remove small elements from the image, particularly specks or small lines.
·         Destripe removes vertical lines that are left by some older scanners.
·         NL Filter ries to do everything: it’s a combination of smoothing, despeckle, and sharpen in one filter.
5.      Briefly describe the purpose of the following  DISTORT filters:
·         Blinds makes it look like your image is painted on venetian blinds and you are changing the angles of those blinds.
·         Curve Bend is useful for changing the shape of any layer.
·         Engrave creates the black-and-white “engraved” look that you sometimes see in old illustrations.
·         IWarp it stretches the image like it was on a rubber sheet.

6.      Briefly describe the purpose of the following  filters:
·         Polar Coords filter wraps an image around a point around a point at the top or bottom center.

9.      List and describe 5 filters found in the ARTISTIC filters group:
a. Cartoon- makes it look like the image is hand drawn by adding black outlines near the edges.
b. Softglow- gives a “bathed in light” impression, as though the image was hazy and a bit overexposed.
c. Cubism- makes the image look like it is made up of a lot of little cubes.
d. placement- controls how the brush strokes will be grouped on the page.
e. orientation- adjusts the angle of asymmetrical brushes.

Sail Boat

To make this image I had to use the select tool a lot. First to only select the bottom portion of the image, then only the top. Gradient also played a large part in making this image. To make the clouds I used the airbrush, but I also used the smudge tool.

Wish You Were Here!

To make this image I had to use several drop shadows, as well as duplicates of the images to make reflections in the water. Not only that, but also I took out the closest trees so they would not be in the way of Julia and me. The tiger didn't have a tail so I had to copy one and fiddle with it until I got it to match the tiger's color.
